One thing I love to do with my boys is play Legos. Legos were my favorite toy growing up. My dad gave me a huge, flat board that I would lay out and build cities on. My brother and I would build epic space stations and make up our own stories as we went along.
The boys and I spend some time building Legos nearly every day. Sometimes it’s spaceships, sometimes it’s just “towers” (my two year olds favorite request).
Last week, they asked me to build a pirate ship and some robots. I love seeing what we can come up with.
I cobbled together a pirate ship with the pieces we had. I had a blast building this one, though there were quite a few pieces I wish I had more of.
And of course Chewie had to be at the helm.
Sean also asked for a “blue robot.” I think out of all the Legos we have, we probably have the least blue pieces. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out at first, but I was able to come up with a pretty cute robot.
Complete with swivel head and spinning arms.
Sean has been carrying this little guy everywhere since I made him.
