I love toilet paper roll crafts. It’s such a basic craft supply, but it’s incredible what you can make with it. Today I’m going to show you how to make a fun little toilet paper roll dragon. I included a free printable template for you to use, so you or your kiddo can whip up this cardboard tube dragon in just a few minutes.

Materials:
-Toilet paper roll or cardboard tube – If you don’t have any lying around, or if you want to do this craft with your classroom or with a library group, you can order cardboard tubes on Amazon at a good price here.
-Scissors
-Glue
-Dragon template – You can download the free printable dragon template here, or have fun designing your own.
Start by coloring you dragon. You can also choose to paint your toilet roll, but I decided to leave mine plain.
Cut out all your pieces.
Fold the dragon’s head in half, along the dotted line.
Then fold up on the tabs at the end of the dragon’s neck.
Glue the head onto one end of the toilet paper roll.
Glue the tail onto the other end of the cardboard tube.
Fold each of the dragon’s feet along the dotted lines.
Attach the feet to the toilet paper tube.
Lastly, glue the wings onto the dragon’s back.
And there you have it! An awesome little dragon craft made out of a simple toilet paper roll.
