Last week I chatted about the caterpillar we found on a tree in our yard and how we’ve been learning about caterpillars. And just this weekend our caterpillar turned into a chrysallis! We originally thought he was going to end up being a moth and going to use a cocoon. But after he shed his skin, my husband did a little more research and we think he’s going to be a mourning cloak butterfly. It’s been incredible to watch it with the boys, and we can’t wait to see him come out as a butterfly.
Remember our adorable robot finger puppets from a couple weeks ago? Today I’m going to show you how to make felt monster finger puppets. These are some of my favorite little projects to make. They are so quick and easy to put together, and they turn so cute. And I love when a project can have an added bonus of being a practical toy for the boys to play with.
These robot felt finger puppets were so fun and easy to make. I love working with felt because it’s simple to use – even if you don’t really know what you’re doing, you can make something that turns out looking pretty awesome!
What is it about armbands and gadgets with buttons that are so cool? The other day one of my kids stuck an apple sticker to the sleeve of his shirt and was playing like it was a button. Another of course followed suit, and added a banana sticker later. I decided it would be simple (and very fun!) to make them some armbands they could play with.
