Online Board Games and Coding
It’s been one of those weeks where it feels like there’s more to do than there are hours to get it done (anyone relate?). But I’ve been slowly accumulating some fun and interesting links I’ve found. It’s a bit of an eclectic mix, but you might find something that inspires or interests you!
Play a board game with a friend (online!)
Board Game Arena lets you play board games online with friends and family. If you play with friends, there’s no time restraints. You can just play a few minutes a couple times a week if you want. It lets us keep board games going with extended family that live across the country. Even if it takes us a month to get through a game, it’s fun to stay connected in a special way.
It’s free to create an account and play many games, but there are some games you either need a paid account or have a friend with a paid account to play.

Learn to tie all sorts of knots with these animated tutorials.
Learn to Code – while playing a game
This is a great one if you want to get your older kids or teens (or even dabble yourself) into learning to code. And it’s free! Check it out here.

Adventure Academy (from the creators of ABC Mouse) is offering a free 30-day free trial. My oldest two enjoyed Adventure Academy a couple years ago when we had a subscription through our charter school in California.
