Felt Sewing Projects
I’ve been itching for something to keep my hands busy in the evenings when we hang out as a family or watch a show together. I’d thought about picking up my crochet hook again, but when I went to dig out my yarn I stumbled across some felt I had stashed away. I started fiddling around, and ended up making a little family of felt cats. It’s been a long while since I’ve done any sewing projects. Feeling a bit rusty, but it’s been fun. My 3 year old now tucks them into bed with her, which is just too adorable for words.
I love working with felt, because it’s so forgiving. It’s easy to cut, you don’t have to worry about it fraying, and projects just seem to come together with it.

Felt Monster Finger Puppets
These little guys were from years ago, and remain one of my favorite felt projects to date. The fuzzy fur on the yellow one, the little feathers on the blue…they’re just too cute!
Felt Dinosaur Finger Puppets
These dinos ended up looking a little goofy with their glue-on googly eyes, but my kids loved them (I’m pretty sure we even still have one floating around somewhere…).
Felt Robot Finger Puppets
This was one of the first felt projects one of my kids helped with (you can see some of the handiwork on one of them). Can’t go wrong with an adorable robot craft!
Felt Butterfly Life Cycle
I made this for my kids when we found some caterpillars in our back yard and learned all about butterflies. I would definitely make the caterpillar differently if I were redoing this one, but I love that the wings snap onto it!
